Dr. Rodwick, HIV AIDS, transgender, hepatitis C, Clearwater, FL, AAHIVM, WPATH, testosterone, Sculptra

Dr. Rodwick has participated in clinical reasearch protocols since 1993. Over the years, he has been a Principal Investigator in nearly 100 studies.

The majority of the studies are related to HIV medications (both FDA-approved and "experimental") and medications for HIV-related symptoms and complications.

Through research, new medications are rigorously tested to determine their effectiveness and possible side effects. The field of HIV has had an explosion of growth over the last 20 years, and research is continuing.

Hepatitis C is "catching up" to HIV in regards to the degree of research that is being conducted.

Research studies require a commitment by the patient as more frequent ofice visits are often required to obtain the data on the drug's effects. Usually, the patient will receive some reimbursement to help cover the costs of their effort.
